Pumpkin Cheesecake

The fall season ushers in an abundance of rich, decadent flavors; apples baked and drowned in a sweet rum sauce, pears poached in red wine, and nuts caramelized in maple and brown sugar. Each flavor is unique to this colorful and vibrant season.  But the quintessential fall flavor is pumpkin.

With its ability to be transformed into just about anything, pumpkin can range from rich and savory to comforting and sweet.  While I love a hearty slice of pumpkin lasagna, and a slice of pumpkin pie is classic, my favorite pumpkin indulgence is the pumpkin cheesecake.

The pumpkin cheesecake embraces the flavors of the season – the delicate spices, the earthy richness from the pumpkin, a touch of sweetness from creamy caramel. It’s so rich, so luscious, it truly is a seasonal treat that can’t be missed.

How do you like your pumpkin cheesecake? Do you ever serve a cheesecake instead of pie at your Thanksgiving table?

Beautiful, both the sentiments and the cheesecake. This changes all of my pumpkin expectations!
