Today marks the end of an era. The final installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise comes to an end with the opening of the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
I grew up reading the Harry Potter books, and I’m proud to say the world of witches and wizards, dragons and hippogriffs holds a special place in my heart. My sisters and I used to read the books together, devouring each page, whispering incantations alongside our favorite Gryffindor. In the theater, with buckets of popcorn in our laps, we’d watch in awe as Harry, Ron, and Hermione worked tirelessly to defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. There are even times when I’ve been known to mutter a spell or two in hopes of making my drab muggle life a little more interesting – although, I think I need to pay Olivander’s a visit for a new wand.
While I’m sad that this colorful, magical world is coming to an end, I’m excited because once again, even for a few hours, I can leave my muggle world behind and join in the fight to save Hogwarts. And it looks like there are some bloggers out there who feel the same way!
In honor of the Harry Potter franchise, here are some fantastic recipes by some Potter-loving food bloggers to help you celebrate the culmination of ten years of Harry Potter wonderment.
