Firecracker Float

Happy 4th of July weekend!! It’s time for sno-cones, face paint, barbecue, and this scrumptious firecracker float. I know it’s not a traditional cocktail, but it’s fitting for this explosive holiday.

Remember Pop Rocks? That colorful fizzy candy that snap, crackled, and popped in your mouth? Well this frosty recipe uses that same childhood candy to turn this cool treat into a firecracker. It will literally make your mouth tingle.

So enjoy the weekend and the holiday with this “Ah” worthy treat.

Firecracker Float

Ingredients

3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
1 envelope Pop Rocks candy, flavor of your choice
1 cup chilled lemon-lime soda

Directions

Place a scoop of ice cream in a tall glass; sprinkle with one-third of the candy. Repeat layers twice. Top with soda. Serve immediately. Yield: 1 serving.

This was such a fun to make (and eat) float! :) I’ll be making these again, long after the 4th.
