TGIF! It’s time for happy hour. For this week’s Cocktail Friday, I’m taking inspiration from the iconic TV show, Sex & The City. Grab those slim martini glasses and put on your best pair of heels, because we’re having Cosmopolitans.
For a long time this was my drink of choice whenever I went out on the town. I always feel chic and sophisticated whenever I sip this pretty pink cocktail. To be honest, I think it has something to do with those pretty martini glasses.
When it comes to pairing this cocktail with food, I reach for fancier appetizers like crostini or bruschetta.
What cocktail makes you feel sophisticated?
Get this recipe: Pesto Bruschetta
Get this recipe: Mixed Olive Crostini
Ice cubes
2 ounces vodka
2 ounces cranberry juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
Fresh cranberries and lime wedges for garnish
Fill a shaker three-fourths full with ice. Add the vodka, juices and Triple Sec. Cover and shake for 10-15 seconds or until condensation forms on outside of shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish as desired.
Yield: 1 serving.
