Tiramisu is making its way through the blogosphere. It seems as though everyone wants to indulge in one of Italy’s favorite desserts.
The first time I ever tried tiramisu I was on a school-sponsored trip to Italy. It was our last night in Rome, and my fellow travelers and I were exhausted after our visit to the Coliseum and day touring the Roman Forum. We sat down at a quaint Italian restaurant that overlooked the city, and tucked in to a meal of homemade spaghetti and the biggest Italian sausages I had ever seen.
As we sat back in our seats, plates empty and bellies full, our waiter appeared with a tray full of perfectly cut squares of what I would soon call heaven. Dusted with cocoa, the delicate ladyfingers were soaked in espresso and layered with a rich combination of ricotta cheese, sugar, and heavy cream. It was a true Italian experience.
Joining in the renewed love for this soft and distinctive dessert, here are a few delicious ways to enjoy one of my favorite treats – tiramisu.

My husband fell in love w/ Tiramessue on a cruise! However, each time we have ordered as dessert @ a resturant or I have bought bakery-made…he complains that it is terrible. He is not a fan of coffee,so I think our experienses since the cruise have been disappointing due to a strong esspreso ingrediant. Any suggestions on a recipe that I can surprise him with??
