This is it. Sunday is the big game. The Green Bay Packers will walk out on to the field at Cowboy Stadium to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With two top defenses, two great quarterbacks, and a lot of hair, these teams will scrape, bludgeon, and fight their way to a Super Bowl Championship. It’s going to be a nail biter.

While the boys are fighting on the football field, there’s a battle going on in the kitchens. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Kitchen Bowl 2011!

I’ve created two menus, each filled with recipes from Taste of Home contributors in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Both menus are quite delicious, but only one can be Kitchen Bowl Champion.

Vote in the comments below for your favorite menu. Who will win? Wisconsin or Pennsylvania?

The Wisconsin menu definitely win. The selections are much more warm, savory, easy to eat, and would be much more appealing to the men in my family.

Being from Wisconsin and living in Green Bay, I’m going with the menu with the pizza and some chips. This sounds yummy!!! Go Pack Go!

This sounds like a fix to me…I am born and bred in the Pittsburgh area and these recipes have nothing to do with our region a melting pot culture. Our Ethnic foods rule..No Perogies, Kilbassi, Itialan Hogies,Greek salads..I could go on forever. Get someone to research the regions your submitting menus for in the future

Cheryl –
These recipes are from our readers who live in Pennsylvania, that’s why we chose this selection. These represented the best of in our collection from Pennsylvania.

Wisconsin menu wins hands down. I agree with Cheryl, I lived in PA for over 40 years and I could this is not our idea of football food!

These all look very yummy but I and my family would prefer the Wisconsin choices.

Cindy February 4, 2011 at 11:50 am

I have to agree with Cheryl, I’m certain PA readers submitted better recipes than those shown!! But then again given the fact that Taste of Home is based in Wisconsin, I’m not surprised!!

I’m going with the PITTSBURGH menu! Even if it’s not regional food, it looks great. What can be better than a burger with roasted potatoes and an oatmeal bar to finish things off? Go Steelers!!!

I am a dye in the wool Steelers fan, but have to agree the Green Bay menu has it all over the one you picked for the Steelers. I’d be disappointed if that was what was on the menu at a Superbowl party I was going to go to.

As a life-time PA resident and a TOH subscriber, that menu does NOT reflect ANY of our PA tastes! We have Hershey Chocolate and Reeses PB cups so why is that on the Wisconsin menu? Where are the Amish/German influences of potatoes and pierogies, whoopie pies and pot pie? Where are the Primanti Brother’s sandwich influences, the Heinz Ketchup reference, Klondike Bars? Chipped Ham/Beef on toast? This is disappointing to say the least. We have a very rich heritage in PA and this menu is dull and bland.

Debbie L February 4, 2011 at 12:01 pm

Wow, are you kidding? I’m a Pittsburgh fan but the Wisconsin recipes look SO much better!! I’m thinking it’s a little biased here, seeing as how TOH is in Wisconsin!! Come on, be fair!

Sarah @ Love & homemade recipes February 4, 2011 at 12:05 pm

We chose these recipes based on our collection of recipes from our PA contributors. These recipes were top favorites among our readers, which is why we chose the collection we did. I apologize if people from PA are upset that it doesn’t reflect your regional tastes. Because we didn’t have that many recipes that showcased your regional fare, we decided to go with best recipes from our readers in PA. We truly did try to pick the very best recipes for the little game.

Tells us Pittsburgh fans, what would you serve for your ultimate Super Bowl menu?

Carol February 4, 2011 at 12:21 pm

Cheese, pizza and chocolate, who could ask for anything more. I’m from Wisconsin, GO PACK GO.

V Frank February 4, 2011 at 12:42 pm

Of course the Packers!! Good old fashioned party food! Go Pack Go! From Oshkosh Wi

Go to Heinz Field and what will you get??? Quaker Steak wings with the BBQ sauce made in Sharon, PA. I don’t even live in PA but visited for a game and still order the sauce to my home. Go Stellers.

Julie February 4, 2011 at 12:45 pm

I don’t think these were meant to be biased, just a fun game for the Super Bowl. Both menus look really good, but I’m a Packers fan, so I have to go with the first menu!

Judy February 4, 2011 at 12:46 pm

Give it a rest already. Pittsburgh, the best you can do is Pierogis? I think she did you a favor with this menu.

Mel February 5, 2011 at 6:53 am

I would suggest Pierogis with fried onions, philly cheese steaks smoothered in peppers and onions with tomato sauce, German Potato Salad and Whoopie Pies! Go Steelers!
